Worship Services

Not sure what to expect?
You’ll find everyone friendly and helpful. Services consist of Scripture readings, song praises, meditations for communion and offering, and a message from the Word – every week.

What songs do you sing?
They will mostly be traditional with occasional contemporary. Sometimes, we’ll sing with a piano (perhaps a guitar) while other times will be a capella. Singing is about worship to God in a manner that brings Him honor and allows each person the opportunity to contribute together as one voice.

Is there a dress code?
No. A variety of modest styles from casual to business casual to (somewhat) dressy can be seen every week amongst the congregation. God is more concerned about your heart, your soul, and that you are here.

Should I take communion during services?
Since this is the Lord’s Table (not ours), we do not bar nor encourage you to. Communion is intended for those who are Christians according to the Gospel. Partaking of communion is a personal decision between each soul and the Lord, and one must “examine himself” to ensure they are doing so in a worthy manner (1 Corinthians 11:27-28).

Do you expect me to give money?
That is between you and God. The offering plate will be passed for the members to contribute as they have already decided what they’ve chosen to give back to God. You can feel free to contribute as well, or simply pass the plate along. You are not obligated nor expected to give. You should never give “grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

When do you meet and how long is your service?
We meet every Sunday morning at 9:30AM EST. There is a short intermission prior to the sermon for fellowship, and services usually conclude about 11AM EST. Afterwards, we will again fellowship with each other, and enjoy beverages and sometimes snacks in the kitchen (and you are more than welcome to partake).

Anything else I should know?
Please bring an open heart and a desire to worship God and learn from His Word. If you need anything, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate. If you’d like to speak with someone before services, our Contact Us page will have the information for doing so. And while you’re here, you’ll find everyone approachable and glad you came. Please join us this Sunday!
